OUR MISSION

Diversity Uplifts, Inc. is a capacity-building, training and direct service non-profit organization determined to improve the well-being of women, birthing people, children and families by supporting communities impacted by historical trauma and health disparities, while also increasing competence and cultural humility among providers and systems who serve them.

  • WHAT WE DO

    WE SUPPORT COMMUNITIES BY:

    • Advocating on community advisory boards

    • Providing guidance on county, state, and national policies

    • Backing policies focused on uplifting communities of color as well as marginalized communities

    WE SUPPORT COMMUNITY-BASED PROGRAMS BY:

    • Spotlighting the voices and efforts of community-based programs and organizations

    • Coordinating advanced training of community-based doulas and birthworkers

    • Facilitating low cost trainings for small community centers and organizations
  • WE SUPPORT PROVIDERS WITH:

    • Provider consultations

    • Educational training on Implicit Bias & Cultural Humility; Historical Trauma & Racism; Birthing Justice and Human Rights in Childbirth; Maternal Mental Health; Mental Health & Wellness; Supporting Incarcerated Mothers
